We are reaching out to Glasgow! Can you make a one off or regular donation to support our vital work with young people living in areas of deprivation in the city, who are brilliant but face multiple barriers to achieve their potential. We want to see Lives Changing Together. Can you help on the journey?
We need to raise money to support our ongoing costs (circa £20,000 per month) The private sector benefits from selling a product or services to raise money, or approaching investors. We rely on:
Fundraising activities that have their own costs
Unpredictable yet very welcome sporadic donations
Regular applications to trusts and grant giving organisations, such as Children in Need. These applications are not always successful, often due to demand and therefore it means we are constantly on a rollercoaster about how we can continue to support brilliant young people of Glasgow.
Raising regular funds through regular donations from businesses and individuals is perfect for us. It gives freedom to how the money is spent. We are a small local charity. We don't have a fundraising department or even one person whose only job it is to raise money. Our small team of 5 take joint responsibility for raising funds whilst also building long-term trusting relationships with young people, planning and delivering activities.
WHAT COULD YOUR DONATION PAY FOR? It could pay for the salary of a youth worker, it could provide food at a local community group, or an activity on a residential experience. It might provide a young leader with some one to one support. It might also help pay for 'less glamorous' but essential items such as a laptop for a staff member, our rent and utilities or insurance. It might even pay for software subscriptions or printer ink! All these things are needed for us to run efficiently and effectively and provide life-changing support to young people facing the barriers of multiple deprivation.
The money we raise from donations is not restricted to a particular use as it often is through grant applications. This means we can use your donation wherever it is needed most.
